Why I decided to take the Udacity Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program

 

The momentum and the growth in the use of social media isn't abating and isn't going away anytime soon. A majority of the population now owns a mobile phone and now consume most of our media online. Therefore in order to brand and companies to reach not only their traditional audience but also a new set of customers, there has to be an increased investment in digital marketing capabilities.

As someone who has the ambition to create an online business in the future, I need to be educated in new methods of not only reaching my potential audience and attracting new customers but also in building a relationship with them and communicating new developments to them.

There were many questions be answers. Some of which were - what are the techniques to keep an audience engaged on social media? How do I learn to rise above the noise and make myself and my business stand out? What social media platforms do I need to use and how do I not one create a marketing plan but tailor it to the specific requirements of my chosen social media platforms. How do I ensure the campaign hit the right audience and also measure the success of the programs I create.

This why I decided to take the Udacity Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program. To gain real-world experience non how to run successful social media campaigns simultaneously; to learn how to create marketing content and how to use social media to amplify my message.
